Google Maps orders tile overlays, ground overlays, polygons, circles and polylines by one zIndex (markers always above). Ground overlays had no zIndex (0, same as polygons, order undefined), rasters used their own zIndex (0, so they covered polylines and ground images), and circles defaulted to the latitude-based zIndex (about -35 000 000 in Tokyo), which put them under everything, including rasters. Every kind now goes through OverlayStacking.flatZIndex(kind, zIndex): each band gets its own interval and zIndex orders within it. Marker tiles sit at the bottom of the marker band (above polylines). Stacking order (all providers, all platforms), bottom to top: raster layers < ground images < polygons < circles < polylines < markers. Needs android-sdk-core with OverlayStacking (fix/overlay-stacking-order).

前は GroundOverlay に zIndex が無く(0、ポリゴンと同じで順不定)、ラスターは自分の zIndex(0 なのでポリラインや GroundImage を覆う)、サークルは緯度から作る zIndex(東京で約 -35,000,000)でラスターより下でした。すべて
OverlayStacking.flatZIndex(kind, zIndex)
2026-11-08 に develop(fix/mapview-teardown、fix/geodesic-polygon-fill、fix/clear-followups、refactor/polygon-controller などのマージ後)の上に載せ直してから確かめています。
PR(Remove style layers and sources by object so they can come back android-for-maptiler#17)を入れてください。
