Adds KDE Connect (com.mroneleg.kdeconnect) to the Native OpenAction plugins section: https://github.com/mroneleg/kde-connect-opendeck

A Rust plugin (openaction + zbus) for KDE Connect paired devices:

  • Phones/tablets: now playing with album art, play/pause, next/previous, seek, volume and mute, switch player, battery, notifications, cellular signal, incoming calls, find my device, send clipboard, share link, ping, SMS templates (press twice to send)
  • Paired computers: run command, lock/unlock, output volume and mute
  • "Auto" device selection picks the first reachable device that has each key's KDE Connect feature; keys pinned to a device without it show "Not supported"

Linux only (x86_64, aarch64), since KDE Connect's D-Bus API is Linux-only. Not affiliated with KDE.

Checklist:

  • openaction topic on the repository
  • name/author match assets/manifest.json; description matches the repository sidebar
  • Latest release (v1.0.0) includes com.mroneleg.kdeconnect.streamDeckPlugin
  • Placed in the native section, sorted by repository URL
  • Icon added (icons/com.mroneleg.kdeconnect.png, 288×288, an original design matching the manifest icon)
  • AI-assisted, flagged with "ai_assisted": true

validate_submission.py --base origin/main passes locally ("Validated 1 plugin catalogue entry.").

This replaces #86, which combined it with a second plugin.

@aweigold: CI is unable to format the icon: https://github.com/OpenActionAPI/plugins/actions/runs/39164378547

Any idea why?

Thanks! I've pushed the formatted 144×144 icon (8cf9f90), so the PR should be good now.

As far as the error, I didn't look, but my agent says this, take it for what it's worth:

The formatting itself worked; the push failed because actions/checkout in "Check out pull request" saves the github.token as http.https://github.com/.extraheader. That URL-scoped setting takes precedence over the -c http.extraheader=... with MAINTAINER_TOKEN, so git pushed as github-actions[bot] (hence the 403). Adding persist-credentials: false to that checkout step should fix it. Also worth knowing: the fork is owned by an organization, and "allow edits from maintainers" can be unreliable for those.

Icon needs to be formatted by CI to ensure consistent formatting, not by you or Claude. CI has worked for many plugins so it's an issue somewhere on your end.

Okay, I dug into the workflow myself, instead of sending claude like I did above.

The issue looks like it stems because I made the PR from a Github organization repo, and the formatter workflow tries to make a git commit/push, which would go against my originating repo. Claude buried the lead there in the above comment.

If you run it again, it should no-op since I resized it using the same python libraries as the format script, if it doesn't no-op, it would be just an OS difference in PNG compression.

Ultimately the formatter gate is good, but there is a design problem in the PR workflow.

I could dance around it, and PR from a personal, non-org, repo and open up commits to it from any source for the workflow... but we'd be defeating the purpose.

In the end, take the PR or leave it, I've found OpenDeck handy, and wanted the KDE Connect integration, was just trying to share back.
