Available from ModelExtras v2.1+

This module enables randomized selection of pedestrian clothing and skin colors in VCS. Each material layer (Primary, Secondary, etc.) supports multiple RGB presets for dynamic variation.

🎨 Material Colors

Layer RGB Values
Primary R: 0, G: 255, B: 60
Secondary R: 175, G: 0, B: 255
Tertiary R: 255, G: 255, B: 0
Quaternary R: 255, G: 0, B: 255

These are base reference colors. Runtime selections are randomized from the JSON pool below.

⚙️ Use a JSONC file (JSON with Comments) to configuration

📂 File Location & Structure

📌 Path: ModelExtras/data/<FILENAME>.jsonc or modloader/AnyFolder/<FILENAME>.jsonc

Both model ID and model name are valid FILENAME (e.g. 602.jsonc or alpha.jsonc).
💡Tip: It is recommended to use model names instead of model IDs to avoid conflicts with other mods — especially when using added vehicles.

⚠️ Attention:

Every JSONC configuration requires a metadata specification before any other settings. See here: METADATA

➡️ A JSONC file contains the following fields:

  • "pedcols" – The main object.
    • "colors" – A list of RGB color values.
    • "variations" – A list of color combinations using indices from the color list.

✨ Example:

{
    "pedcols": {
        "colors": [
            { "red": 255, "green": 0, "blue": 0 },     // Index 0
            { "red": 0, "green": 255, "blue": 0 },     // Index 1
            { "red": 0, "green": 0, "blue": 255 },     // Index 2
            { "red": 255, "green": 255, "blue": 255 }  // Index 3
        ],
        "variations": [
            { "primary": 0, "secondary": 1, "tertiary": 2, "quaternary": 3 },
            { "primary": 1, "secondary": 1, "tertiary": 3, "quaternary": 0 }
        ]
    }
}
