I'm a Physicist and a Complex Systems researcher at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV), Brazil, in the Complex System Investigation Group GISC, and Ibitipoca Institute of Physics (IbitiPhys), Conceição do Ibitipoca, MG, Brazil. My GitHub is a personal mix of complex systems, statistical mechanics, dynamical systems, and high-performance computing. Most of my repositories were born from curiosity.
Currently, my ongoing research revolves around:
- Complex networks;
- Higher-order interactions;
- Opinion dynamics;
- Communication data in political networks;
- Developing high-performance software.
I am devoted to open-source software. All of my academic and personal projects are open, and I'm always willing to collaborate with other people around, especially within the Fortran-Lang ecosystem. Feel free to open an issue, submit a PR, or just reach out to chat about these projects.
Some of my projects:
- 📈 mle_fit: High-performance Modern Fortran library for robust MLE fitting of power-laws and heavy-tailed distributions to empirical data.
- 🌌 SymplecF: Fortran implementation of symplectic integrators (Varlet, Tao) using OOP to study chaotic Hamiltonian flows.
- 🕸️ OmniGraph: Handle complex networks using Fortran. An adaptable, high-performance complex network library. Generate, manage, and analyze topologies from lattices to scale-free graphs.
- 📖 Fun With Thermostatistics: A collaborative repository for an upcoming book on Statistical Mechanics and Classical Thermodynamic problems.
Beyond the code and physics:
- ⛪ Church Ministry: Like James Maxwell, I am a Presbyterian and an aspiring pastor in my city. I dedicate a lot of my time to rural congregations, elderly ministries, and regional evangelism. Check out our church, Igreja Presbiteriana de Viçosa, on Instagram, or my personal work at my personal website.
- 👨🏫 Teaching: I hold both a Bachelor's and a Licentiate degree in Physics. Teaching is my greatest joy in life.
- 🧠 Neurodivergence: I am an autistic person, active also in these communities.
