Thank you for the review and feedback. I understand the submission did not provide enough evidence of Temporal usage in the repository.

I’m rebuilding Friendly Spoon to include a runnable Temporal implementation with a Workflow, Activities, Worker, and executable example, along with complete setup and usage instructions in the README.

The updated repository will make the Temporal integration and durable-execution pattern directly visible and testable so the project can be evaluated on its actual implementation.

I’ll resubmit once the working example and documentation are in place.

Friendly Spoon — Temporal Implementation Update

Thank you for the review and feedback.

I understand that the previous submission did not provide enough evidence of Temporal usage in the repository.

I am rebuilding Friendly Spoon to include a working Temporal implementation with:

    • Temporal Workflows
    • Temporal Activities
    • Temporal Worker
    • Temporal Client
    • Task Queue
    • Durable execution
    • A runnable example
    • Complete setup and usage instructions

The updated repository will make the Temporal integration directly visible in the source code and provide a clear path for reviewers to run and evaluate the project.

The goal is to provide a small, understandable, and genuinely runnable Temporal example rather than relying only on conceptual documentation.

I will update the repository and resubmit after the implementation and instructions have been tested.

Friendly Spoon — Temporal Implementation Update

Thank you for the review and feedback.

I understand that the previous submission did not provide enough evidence of Temporal usage in the repository.

I am rebuilding Friendly Spoon to include a working Temporal implementation with:

    • Workflow: FriendlySpoonWorkflow
    • Activities: prepare_spoon and serve_spoon
    • Worker: Registers FriendlySpoonWorkflow and both activities
    • Task queue: friendly-spoon-task-queue
    • Temporal Client: Starts FriendlySpoonWorkflow with a unique workflow ID
    • Durable execution: The workflow invokes the activities through Temporal rather than calling them directly
    • A runnable example
    • Complete setup and usage instructions

The workflow will execute the following sequence:

    1. prepare_spoon prepares the spoon.
    2. serve_spoon serves the prepared spoon.
    3. The workflow returns the final serving message.

    Exact Temporal Components

    The implementation will include:

    • src/activities.py
      • prepare_spoon()
      • serve_spoon(prepared_spoon)
    • src/workflows.py
      • FriendlySpoonWorkflow
      • Workflow execution that calls prepare_spoon and then serve_spoon
    • src/worker.py
      • Connects to the local Temporal server
      • Registers the workflow and activities
      • Polls the friendly-spoon-task-queue task queue
    • examples/run_workflow.py
      • Connects to the local Temporal server
      • Starts FriendlySpoonWorkflow
      • Uses the workflow ID friendly-spoon-example
      • Waits for and prints the workflow result

    Runnable Commands

    After installing dependencies with:

    pip install -r requirements.txt

start a local Temporal development server with:

    temporal server start-dev

Start the worker in one terminal with:
