Aero Packages

Source repository for Aero Linux packages.

This repository starts with a clean package namespace. No retired packages or binary repository databases were imported. It contains the Aero package keyring, AeroLayen desktop appearance packages, the custom Calamares installer, and the BORE kernel used by the Aero Linux ISO.

Layout

Put each package in packages/<pkgname>/ with:

• PKGBUILD
• .SRCINFO
• patches or source files required by the build
• a short README.md when the package needs maintenance notes

Use the aero- prefix for distribution-specific package names.

Binary repository

GitHub Actions builds and signs the packages, creates a pacman database, and publishes it through GitHub Pages:

The public key is stored in aero-package-signing-key.asc. The private key is stored only as an encrypted GitHub Actions secret. The offline revocation certificate is not committed.

Build and check

Run builds in a clean Arch Linux environment. At minimum:

./scripts/check-repository.sh
makepkg --verifysource
makepkg --syncdeps --cleanbuild
namcap PKGBUILD *.pkg.tar.zst

Theme source revisions and provenance are recorded in SOURCES.md. Signed repository publication is manual and protected by the GitHub release environment.

Do not commit built packages, repository databases, secrets, or private signing keys.

Repository documentation and package-maintained files are available under GPL-3.0-or-later unless a package directory states another license required by its upstream source.
