Hey, I'm Saad

I'm a DevOps engineer based in Morocco, working primarily with Azure. I focus on turning manual, error-prone deployment processes into automated, reliable pipelines: provisioning, containerization, CI/CD, and monitoring.

My approach is simple: if a task is done manually more than a couple of times, it should be automated.

"If it's not automated, it's not finished." "Without monitoring, you find out about problems from users, not dashboards."

Currently focused on:
Building deployment pipelines that require minimal manual intervention
and fail loudly rather than silently.

How I work

Principle In practice
Automate repetition Anything done by hand more than a couple of times becomes code or a pipeline
Infrastructure as Code Environments are provisioned with Terraform, so they are versioned and reproducible
GitOps over clicking Git is the source of truth, and changes are promoted through branches
Fail loudly Pipelines should surface problems immediately instead of hiding them
Monitor everything Prometheus and Grafana, so problems show up on dashboards before users report them

A project I'm proud of

Automating Apache NiFi deployments so manual UI configuration is no longer required in production

GitHub

Terraform GitHub Actions Apache NiFi Azure

What it does:

  • Automates NiFi deployments across Dev, Staging, and Production
  • Uses a GitOps workflow with branch-based promotion (develop β†’ staging β†’ main)
  • Integrates with NiFi Registry so every change is version-controlled and traceable
  • Removes the manual deployment steps that previously caused most errors

Results:

Metric Before After
Deployment time 2 hours 15 minutes
Manual/human errors Frequent Eliminated
New developer onboarding 2 days About 4 hours

Architecture:

Loading
Terraform provisions the Azure environments (Dev/Staging/Prod)
GitHub Actions detects changes and triggers deployment
NiFi Registry and Git hooks keep everything synchronized automatically
