extconf.rblooked forgetpwnam()in libsun, which only IRIX 4 used for NIS. Ruby does not support IRIX, and the check fails on every supported platform, so removing it only drops one probe frommkmf.log.This landed in ruby/ruby first as ruby/ruby@f67e01a85c (ruby/ruby#19010). I brought it here unchanged.
On x64 mswin with Ruby 4.1.0dev,
rake compile testpasses andmkmf.logno longer has thesun.libcheck. The other checks are unchanged.Generated with Claude Code
