Genericise sample template #13

Open

Description

@opoudjis

for standards.calconnect.org, we don't want the site generation templates to stay in relaton-cli. They are customized for CalConnect. "relaton-cli" is not made for CalConnect.

We should replace the templates in relaton-cli with generic ones.

    @opoudjis: Is this still relevant? What's the plan with this one?

    @abunashir yes, this is relevant to the Metanorma Registry work.

    There are currently two ways of "displaying a set of Metanorma documents in a site":

    • Via Jekyll using the system implemented for standards.calconnect.org . But this requires some infrastructure setup (i.e. not doable on GitHub pages)
    • Via this gem to create a "mini-site", like https://github.com/riboseinc/mn-ogc-documents . This works with GitHub Pages.

    So I think both are relevant to the Registry. For the second item (for now), we want to generalize the design of the mini-site templates so that each Standard Org could have their own mini-site style.

    I am not going to be working on this. I am currently assigning this to @andrew2net, but I have no idea what it even means, and whether it is relevant any more.

    @ronaldtse As I understand we use Jekyll to generate a site. Do we still need the templates in relaton-cli?
