Verify HubSpot re-import: update or duplicate?

CLAUDE.md §7 flags this as unverified, and it gates the whole publication model.

If re-import duplicates rather than updates, then: every article is effectively one-way, a published mistake cannot be corrected by re-importing, and V1 articles with existing incumbents produce a third copy rather than replacing one.

Must be answered before 37 articles are ready, not after. Test with a throwaway article.

Partially answered by the 2026-08-13 export, and the news is not good.

The export carries no stable article ID. Columns are: Knowledge base name, Article title, Article subtitle, Article language, Article URL, Article body, Category, Subcategory, Keywords, Last modified date, Status, Archived. The only candidate key is Article URL.

Worse, the export and import schemas do not match. The import format (CLAUDE.md §7) is 8 columns including META_DESCRIPTION, which the export does not emit. So export → edit → re-import is lossy by construction: every round trip drops meta descriptions.

Still needs the live test for update-vs-duplicate, but plan on URL being the match key and on meta description being lost unless separately preserved.
