The product thinker's evening interview of 2026-09-21, recorded where each ruling binds:

• adr-2609212115255771 supersedes adr-9. Phases and milestones are retired, and the word roadmap with them: sequencing is dependencies plus the lifecycle shelves, rendered as a Now / Next / Later status block; the checkpoint is the derived release plus each intent's acceptance criteria; the unit below a spec is the step (a section, not a family); an issue carries no spec by design; the batch is the run's internal order. The glossary marks phase, milestone and roadmap superseded and gains bundle, step and the record-families page; the phase documents carry a retirement line; the ROADMAP rule domain is replaced by the decision's statement; itd-24 reads release for phase; itd-34 drops its phase rule.

Why

An independent research pass over the field found every surviving sequencing unit to be a timebox whose job is to carry a date, which this repository forbids, and every planned checkpoint beside derived releases collapsing into the release; it also found Now / Next / Later already present under the names planned/ and drafts/, so it is rendered here, never stored. The rest of the interview turned each question the product thinker raised into a record the autonomous run can build, one question at a time.

Review

Every record went through the readiness gate (all READY); the record, reviews-charter, decisions-append and docs gates and the full preflight pass. The decomposition is graded into the calibration note. Two records changed their first routing at the human's word (the status block was first offered as a roadmap bucket; the badge as event-derived).
