Documents the UI session timeout settings and the Disconnected indicator added in harvester/harvester-ui-extension#1178.

Related issue: harvester/harvester#11287

Changes

  • docs/advanced/settings.md → UI Settings: new entries for auth-user-session-idle-ttl-minutes and auth-user-session-ttl-minutes (definition, defaults, supported values, how the idle timeout turns on the Session expiring dialog, and kubectl examples). Both settings are settings.management.cattle.io resources, exposed in the standalone UI starting with v1.10.0.
  • A tip that describes the Disconnected indicator, which appears when the UI loses its connection to the cluster, so that outdated resource states are not mistaken for cluster problems.
  • Screenshots in static/img/v1.10/advanced/.

The dialog timing comes from the Rancher shell: the dialog is shown for 20% of the idle time or 5 minutes, whichever is shorter.

Add auth-user-session-idle-ttl-minutes and auth-user-session-ttl-minutes
to the UI settings, and describe the Disconnected indicator.
