🚨 Severity: CRITICAL
πŸ’‘ Vulnerability: The static analyzer was missing dangerous deserialization functions (shelve.open, dill.load, dill.loads, jsonpickle.decode, joblib.load, torch.load) in its _SERIALISATION_SINKS mapping, potentially leading to false negatives when tracking untrusted data flowing into these sinks.
🎯 Impact: Untrusted data flowing into these sinks could have resulted in arbitrary code execution without being detected by the analyzer.
πŸ”§ Fix: Added the missing deserialization functions to the _SERIALISATION_SINKS mapping in src/wardline/scanner/taint/variable_level.py. (numpy.load was correctly excluded to avoid false positives).
βœ… Verification: Ran make test, make lint, and make typecheck to ensure no regressions were introduced. Tests successfully passed.
