+# Dumping Psion Conan ROM
+
+[`ROMDUMP.EXE`](ROMDUMP.EXE) copies a Psion's ROM into files on the Psion's
+own disk. It targets **EPOC Release 5 Unicode (ER5u)** machines - the Conan /
+Revo-Bluetooth generation - because the existing ER5 (non-Unicode) extractors,
+such as [PsiROM](<../PsiROM/>), are built against different DLLs and won't
+load on it. No cable or card needed. Source (`romdump.c`, `start.S`,
+`romdump.ld`) is included alongside the binary.

+Since the ROM is the same size as RAM, it comes off in **2 MB parts** that

+## Using it
+
+1. Copy `ROMDUMP.EXE` onto the machine (beam it, or PsiWin 2.3+) - anywhere
+   your files live, e.g. `C:\Documents`.
+2. On the System screen, tap it once to select, then tap again (or Enter)
+   to run it. It shows how many 2 MB parts are left and asks how many to
+   write now (a digit, `A` for all remaining, or `Q` to quit).
+3. Each part is written, then read back and compared against the ROM before
+   the next starts, so a bad part is caught immediately.
+4. Copy `C:\ROMDUMP.001`, `.002`, … off to a PC (PsiWin or beam), deleting

+## If something goes wrong
+
+- **Disk full mid-part:** free space and continue - the interrupted part is

+  built from it unbootable. Every part but the last should be exactly
