Putting a NebulaOS build onto real hardware is documented in NebulaOS-firmware, not here — see
Developer Install From Stock
for the full walkthrough.
Short version: build (or grab the nightly) → transfer the artifacts to the printer → check
their hashes against build-manifest.txt → flash-spare-slot.sh --check-only → real flash (always
targets the spare slot, refuses if that's the one you're running from) → flip the boot marker →
reboot.
You'll need root/SSH on the printer's stock firmware already — that part's out of scope for this
project, same as every other Creality K1/KE mod.
One honest caveat: every install we've tested started from a slot that already had something on it.
We haven't specifically verified a printer whose custom slot has literally never been written — no
reason to expect different behavior, but it's the one case we haven't directly confirmed.
