The existing test session::terminal::tests::startup::a_startup_set_that_fills_the_cap_still_gets_every_terminal intermittently fails on macOS at src/session/terminal/tests/mod.rs:220 with no created message.
Evidence:
The test starts eight short-lived printf startupN commands. collect_created discards unrelated/error frames and reports only a missing Created notification. One hypothesis is that a fast exit races ProcessTree::attach querying getpgid/getsid after spawn; this is not proven by the current logs. Resource pressure or the 15-second frame deadline also needs discriminating evidence.
Follow-up: preserve creation errors in this assertion, reproduce on macOS, and fix the underlying cause without weakening process-tree custody or merely increasing the timeout. Add focused regression coverage for short-lived pane creation as appropriate. No test was disabled for this release.
