Discover Jammy FIPS stemcells from the private GCS bucket - #2830
Conversation
bats-jammy-fips stayed on an old stemcell. bosh.io now hides the fips variant (cloudfoundry/bosh-io-web#92), and its API returns [] for bosh-google-kvm-ubuntu-jammy-fips-go_agent. The v1.2.1 resource found versions only through that API, so check found no new versions. The auth credentials were used only by the in step to download the tarball. concourse/bosh-io-stemcell-resource 1.7.0 adds private_bucket (concourse/bosh-io-stemcell-resource#50). With it, check lists the bosh-core-stemcells-fips bucket directly and in computes the checksums locally. cf-deployment uses the same config for its AWS FIPS stemcell. The regexp gets the version from keys such as 1.1335/bosh-stemcell-1.1335-google-kvm-ubuntu-jammy-fips-go_agent.tgz. The HMAC key in ((hmac_accesskey)) must now have storage.objects.list on bosh-core-stemcells-fips, in addition to object read. Without it, check fails on gcp-stemcell-jammy-fips. The upgrade also applies to the Noble, Resolute, and Warden stemcell resources. private_bucket is opt-in, so they still use bosh.io. ai-assisted=yes [TNZ-148344] [Fusion] Bosh KTLO Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Signed-off-by: Nishad Mathur <nishad.mathur@broadcom.com>
