[Bug]: Polyscope user interface goes black and must be hard quit to be restored.

Bug description

Several times a day i've been getting black screens like this. I cannot discern the cause. I have to quit and try to recover.

This is happening 4-5 times a day at this point. It really is an urgent fix. It is destructive -- agents are killed when you restart.

You could toggle the Developer Tools to see if the console shows anything?

When I have this (connected to Polyscope server though, I don't know if this is the same cause) the console shows

[e2e] Did not receive e2e.hello in time, closing socket

Is it the same issue for you?

@pvankouteren It is not responsive to that:

I selected from the menu:

View -> Toggle Developer Tools

Nothing happens.

Still happening 2-3 times per day and it does not appear to be correlated to anything in particular.

We have identified some issues that could lead to that - we will fix those & harden the app process against similar issues in the future with the next update.
