Mobile MA is a community project by Sven Hanold. It is not part of the official Music Assistant project and not an Open Home Foundation product. "Music Assistant" is the name of their project and is used here only to say what this app connects to — with respect and thanks to the team that builds and maintains it. The official app and everything about the project: music-assistant.io.

Start music in any room, group your players, keep your stations close — from your phone, in the car, on your wrist and on the TV. No cloud, no account, and it works away from home too.
Players, groups and queue. Every player on your server in one list, with type, status and volume synced live. Group any speakers into a zone and start music everywhere at once. Save the combinations you use often as a scene and recall them with a single tap. Add tracks, albums and playlists to play next or at the end of the queue, hand the whole queue to another device mid-track, or save it as a playlist.
Access from anywhere. Remote access opens a direct, encrypted WebRTC connection to your server. No port forwarding, no VPN, and nothing of yours exposed to the open internet. Running more than one server? Save them as named connection profiles and switch with one tap.
CarPlay. Your full library in the car — albums, artists, genres, tracks, playlists, podcasts, audiobooks, radio and favourites, each with artwork. Search by voice or keyboard while driving. CarPlay works even before you have opened the app on your iPhone.
Apple Watch. Browse players and see what's playing, artwork included. Play, pause and skip in one tap, volume on the Digital Crown, favourite the current track and scrub through playback — without reaching for your phone.
Apple TV. Music Assistant on the big screen: players, Now Playing with large artwork, library browsing and search, all from the Siri Remote. Your iPhone hands over the server credentials with a tap, so there is nothing to type during setup.
Library, podcasts and radio. A Discover home screen you arrange yourself, search that merges results across providers and finds radio stations by name, and a Continue Listening section for podcasts and audiobooks with variable speed and configurable skip intervals.
AI Radio. Turn your server into a radio station. Start AI Radio stations from the Radio tab, or put an AI host on any queue — your library, Spotify or Tidal — who talks between the tracks. Stations work in multi-room scenes and in CarPlay. Requires the AI Radio plugin on your Music Assistant server (2.10.3 or newer).
Your data stays yours. Mobile MA talks only to the server you configured. No intermediary service, no account, no sign-up, no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Credentials live in the iOS Keychain and sync via iCloud between your own devices only.
