App Being Added

Brow 0.2.1, in Developer Tools between Beyond Compare and Caddy.

I'm the developer of Brow. It is a free, open source (GPL-3.0) macOS app that shows the 5-hour, weekly and model-specific Claude Code usage limits of every account beside the MacBook notch.

Open Questions and Pre-Merge TODOs

  • Keeps list alphabetical.
  • Matches Standard App Line Format.
  • App status is clearly stated.
  • Status is at most 80 characters and fits three lines on mobile.
  • App status is consistent with already used verbiage.
  • Mentions supported App version in App Status: v0.2.1.

Verification

0.2.1 is the current stable release. It ships one build, for Apple silicon only, and needs macOS 26 or later. My own inspection, as the developer, of Brow.app from the release's Brow.zip:

$ shasum -a 256 Brow.zip
1723bd11a393aec76cda97cff9b37d1c00a6215e02899ac8dd79251694d2e4b6  Brow.zip
$ plutil -extract CFBundleShortVersionString raw Brow.app/Contents/Info.plist
0.2.1
$ lipo -archs Brow.app/Contents/MacOS/Brow
arm64
$ file Brow.app/Contents/MacOS/Brow
Brow.app/Contents/MacOS/Brow: Mach-O 64-bit executable arm64

The checksum matches SHA256SUMS.txt in the release. The build is signed ad hoc and not notarized, so the first launch needs Open Anyway in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Checks

  • node --test test/status-copy.node.mjs passes (the status is 53 characters).
  • git diff --check is clean.

Filed from my fork's master with no new branch, per the branch policy in the README.
