How can I implement the picker when ngModelOptions focus is triggered

I implemented the editable option for pickadate.js for the pickADate directive. Now I need to show the picker when the focus is triggered and hide it on blur.

I also need to implement a way to determine the input field has been changed.

Any ideas?
