Implement Textual TUI for Matrix rooms, threads, agents, approvals, workrooms, context, graphs, and evidence

Goal

Build the first real terminal UI surface for AgentTerm so it behaves like a Matrix-first Slack-term-class operator console, not only a command parser.

Required scope

• Add Textual-based TUI entry point behind an optional dependency.
• Show Matrix rooms/channels, selected thread, local event log, and command input.
• Include panes or modes for agents, Agent Registry status/grants, Policy Fabric approvals, workrooms, topics, memory/context, New Hope semantic objects, Holmes/Sherlock investigation references, MeshRush graph events, cloudshell/AgentPlane evidence, and GitHub/CI status.
• Keep side-effecting commands behind approval affordances.
• Show unresolved/denied/revoked/expired states visibly.
• Add tests around rendering/data-model transformation where feasible without requiring a real terminal session in CI.

Non-goals

• Do not bypass Matrix, Agent Registry, or Policy Fabric.
• Do not wire live SDKs directly into the TUI layer.
• Do not turn the TUI into a generic chatbot UI.

Status update 2026-07-18: PR #20 (Add dependency-light TUI snapshot scaffold) landed a lightweight TUI scaffold on 2026-05-02, and PR #88 (seed/agentterm-chatops-core) merged on 2026-07-18 brought in the full ChatOps core. However the full Textual-based TUI with dedicated panes for Matrix rooms, Agent Registry grants, Policy Fabric approvals, workrooms, context, graph events, and CI evidence has not been explicitly landed as a standalone deliverable. The scaffold is the foundation — a follow-up PR is needed to wire up the full Textual pane layout described here. Leaving open.

Implemented in commits pushed to feat/state-integrity-graph-reasoning-stubs (PR #89, merged).

Issue #9 addressed by:

• tui.py: Textual App — sidebar with all 14 PANE_ORDER panes, event log, approval affordance bar, governed command input line. Wired as agent-term tui. Import-guarded with clear error message if textual not installed.
• agent_machine_adapter.py: 6 ChatOps commands (doctor/init/attach/run/fingerprint/evidence), all producing governed AgentTermEvents. Non-human participants resolved through Agent Registry before dispatch. EXAMPLE_LIFECYCLE_TRACE documents the full init→attach→run→evidence lifecycle.
• cli.py: /agent-machine* wired into interactive shell.
