Would you recommend updating your custom branch which addressed this (but wasn't accepted) or should sourcescramble be updated to the last accepted PR (which solves the initial issue).

You can update the extension to the latest version in the master branch, which I tried to add is already optional.
Description:
Steps to reproduce:
Create or modify a gamedata file with an invalid section or typo.
Load the extension and apply the patch.
Observe that no errors are logged, and the patch appears to be applied.
Expected behavior:
The extension should detect malformed or invalid sections.
Errors or warnings should be displayed to alert the user.
Patches should not be applied if the gamedata is invalid.
