Summary

  • Expose hybrid lexical/vector fusion weights via Config (fusion_lexical_weight / fusion_vector_weight) and env STRATA_FUSION_LEXICAL_WEIGHT / STRATA_FUSION_VECTOR_WEIGHT.
  • Defaults remain 0.75 / 0.25 (no behavior change unless overridden).
  • Wire recall._hybrid_relevance to use config weights.
  • Add deterministic synthetic held-out harness (tests/test_fusion_eval.py) reporting R@1 / R@3.

Held-out (synthetic, defaults)

  • R@1 = 1.0, R@3 = 1.0 (see workdir out/fusion-heldout-summary.json)

Test plan

  • pytest targeted fusion/recall: 20 passed (3.12) / 12 passed (3.11 subset)
  • Ruff clean on touched files
  • Full suite on this MBP env: 166 passed, 1 failed — test_local_without_extra_uses_hashing_embedder asserts hashing but env has fastembed; same failure on clean main, unrelated to this PR
  • Do not merge / PyPI without explicit ask

Expose lexical/vector fusion weights via Config and env overrides
(defaults stay 0.75/0.25). Add a deterministic synthetic held-out
harness so weight changes can be checked without overfitting.
