Pam approved this exact CI fix plus the 3.5.0 copy/checksum follow-ups. Stay draft. Do not merge from this PR unless a human says so.

CI (ubuntu-24.04 / run 33163663180)

Install build dependencies failed with E: Package 'awscli' has no installation candidate before live-build ran.

  • Remove awscli from the apt list.
  • Keep live-build, live-config, live-boot, and the rest of the existing apt packages.
  • Add curl and unzip, then install AWS CLI v2 with the official installer so make publish still has aws for R2.
  • Download the installer with curl -fsSL (Pam nit).
  • Leave the runner on ubuntu-latest. Do not pin 22.04.
  • Do not republish, retag, or overwrite the live 3.5.0 ISO.

Also in this PR

  1. SHA256SUMS — append the published 3.5.0 line only:

  2. Worker /linux/hardware and /linux/faq — NVIDIA is an explicit simulate-first path, not auto-installed, not “included then removed after first boot.” Wording matches the 3.5.0 README. Landing (/linux/) is unchanged.
  3. /linux/benchmarks — date-stamps the existing August 2026 RTX 5060 Ti / ollama pull writeup as historical. No new numbers. Not a 3.5.0 runtime claim.

Out of scope

No Archive.org upload, Secure Boot work, DistroWatch mail, Worker/site deploy, README rewrite, or a new ISO publish.

ubuntu-24.04 has no awscli apt package, so the official installer keeps
make publish working without pinning the runner. Record the published
3.5.0 ISO hash. Hardware and FAQ now describe NVIDIA as simulate-first,
and the Ollama 16GB writeup is dated as a historical RTX 5060 Ti run.

Fail the ISO workflow if the official zip is missing or redirected
instead of writing an error body to awscliv2.zip.
