MCP sets Windows console title mscodebase-mcp:<name>-<hash8> at startup (win32-guarded, logged). Llama embed/rerank spawn via NTFS hardlinks llama-embed.exe/llama-rerank.exe (os.link, same inode, fallback to plain spawn). PID-reuse and port guards accept new names.

MCP sets Windows console title mscodebase-mcp:- at startup (win32-guarded, logged). Llama embed/rerank spawn via NTFS hardlinks llama-embed.exe/llama-rerank.exe (os.link, same inode, fallback to plain spawn). PID-reuse and port guards accept new names. Tests: tests/test_process_titles.py (8 passed) + llama/artifact suites (58 passed), ruff clean. Live proof: test spawn via hardlink showed llama-embed.exe PID 11780 in process list; live servers untouched (health 200). Full effect on next Zed restart (MCP title) / next llama respawn (role names).
