Text selection remains active even after pressing Select again to unselect stuff

Describe the bug

In the Text Editing panel, pressing the Select button selects the text as expected. However, pressing the Select button a second time to exit/unselect the selection does not clear the selection. The text remains highlighted/selected even though Select has been pressed again.

To Reproduce

1. Open any app with a text field.
2. Type some text.
3. Open LeanType's Text Editing panel.
4. Tap Select to select the text.
5. Tap Select again to exit selection mode.
6. The text remains highlighted/selected instead of being unselected.

Expected behavior

Pressing Select a second time should exit selection mode and clear the active text selection, leaving the cursor/normal editing state.

1st video --> LeanType

2nd video --> Gboard

I like gboard's approach where after selecting ur text and then pressing "copy" it not only automatically copies ur text but also unselects the stuff you've copied which is so convenient

Meanwhile in LeanType I have to "select" the text then press copy and then again press "select" to unselect the text and the issue with this is that there has been soo many times where I completely forgot to press "select" again to unselect the text which creates some awkward situations

(So in short would appreciate if it also automatically un selects the text after pressing "copy")
