AI was used to generate the HTML snippets for the view components, which are managed through SSR and HTMX. I hate HTML, but do understand it. I had it use TailwindCSS, and installed TemplUI, although I never actually ended up using it.
Frontend work, in general, gives me pain because I have no eye for design and HTML makes me sad. (Why, oh why, do we need 3 different versions of the same CSS rule? Or the fact that Google refuses to support JpegXL, despite it being 7x better than WebP, etc.)
AI was also used to generate some of the handlers, namely the Combo and Menu handlers, as well as the Item substitution handlers. I was running out of time, and it was mainly boilerplate anyways. As long as you don't let AI do the architecting and let it decide what it wants to do, you can beat it into a pretty well-trained and useful dog. At least 80% as useful as a real junior developer, if not more.
