Please List the Hardware Used to Test the Library

Hello Steve,

In looking at your examples, it appears that you used a ESP32 of some sort, to test your code. I realize that it has been a long time since you worked on this library. It would be rally helpful to me, and others, if you listed the ESP hardware used, and if you remember, the 2 GPIO pin connections you used to connect the BMS for RX and TX.

I have code, using an ESP8266, D1 Mini, that works flawlessly using a SoftwareSerial library ( https://github.com/plerup/espsoftwareserial ) to connect to one of the older Overkill Solar 100A 8S BMS's. But for the life of me, I cannot make the same code, with changes for an ESP32, work with an ESP32-C3.

Figured this was a better place to ask the question vs. a private message as maybe this can be documented here.

It sure has been a long time. I believe we only used Arduino Uno and Mega2560 boards.

The -C3 has some unique setup required for serial. I haven't had a chance to use one. I've been programming for the -S3 recently.
I'm seeing a lot of comments around setting USB CDC On Boot: "Enabled"

I'm not having issues with the C3, regards communication with my Linux desktop and the Arduino IDE. Issue is that the C3 is not communicating to the BMS. It is possible, being the C3 is a 3.3V device, that it just isn't putting out high enough of a TTL level, for the BMS to "hear" it. Going to try adding a level shifter, to the TX line on the C3 to get it up to 5V TTL, and hope that solves the problem !! What is odd is that the ESP8266 D1 Mini, communicates just fine with the BMS's. I've got 2 PCB's I made using the D1 Mini's, talking to my custom LiPo batts and 2 Overkill Solar 100A BMS's, for over 3 years now w/o issues.
