Follows FourMInfo/math_tech_study#32, which split the canonical instruction templates into shared files (byte-identical in every study repo) and a repo-specific project.instructions.md (never overwritten).

Changes

File Change
.github/instructions/{ecosystem,source,testing,docs,notebooks}.instructions.md copied unchanged from the hub; cmp confirms byte-identical. ecosystem is new
.github/instructions/project.instructions.md now this repo's own file: the CWJS dependency rules, planned function categories, test files, and the real notebook setup (using Revise + using Calculus)
.github/copilot-instructions.md regenerated from the corrected canonical template (#28), keeping "What CalculusWithJuliaSquared Provides". gh works (the ban was false), Azure section removed, communication rules as the marked Copilot mirror. Reexport lists corrected: LaTeXStrings comes through CWJS; Latexify added to the notebooks row
CLAUDE.md new, from the shared template: imports copilot-instructions, ecosystem and project instructions; a path table points to the rest. Documenter builds from docs/src/, so it is not published

The old instructions got two things wrong about this repo:

  • notebooks described an LAlatex/BlockArrays setup cell, but notebooks/Project.toml has neither, only Latexify. CWJS runs import Latexify at load time, so using Calculus already activates Symbolics' SymbolicsLatexifyExt; using Latexify is needed only to call latexify by name.
  • testing named Linear_Algebra.jl as the module that configures headless plotting. That configuration is in CWJS.

julia compat is already 1.13 in all four environments, and the CWJS bound (0.17.0) matches CWJS's current version, so nothing needed bumping.

File naming

The commented-out include in src/Calculus.jl named calculus_basics.jl, but the file that exists is src/calculus_basic.jl. Following Linear_Algebra (linear_algebra_basic.jl / test_linear_algebra_basic.jl), the test file is renamed test_calculus_basic.jl and the include names the real file. It stays commented out until the first functions are written.

… Code

- Shared files (ecosystem, source, testing, docs, notebooks) copied unchanged
  from math_tech_study project_resources (#32); byte-identical, checked with cmp.
- project.instructions.md is now this repo's own file: the CWJS dependency,
planned function categories, test files and the real notebook setup
  (`using Revise` + `using Calculus`). The old notebooks file described an
  LAlatex/BlockArrays setup this repo's notebook environment does not have;
the old testing file named Linear_Algebra.jl as the module.
- copilot-instructions.md regenerated from the corrected canonical template
with the "What CalculusWithJuliaSquared Provides" section kept: `gh` works
(the ban was false), Azure section removed, communication rules as the
marked Copilot mirror. Reexport lists corrected: LaTeXStrings comes through
CWJS, not a second reexport here; Latexify added to the notebooks row.
- New CLAUDE.md (shared template).

julia compat is already 1.13 in all four environments; no bump needed.

src/calculus_basic.jl pairs with test/test_calculus_basic.jl (was
test_calculus_basics.jl), and the commented-out include in Calculus.jl now
names the file that exists. It stays commented out until the first
functions are written.
