Agentic AI systems now act as autonomous entities capable of reasoning, planning, and executing tasks across services, infrastructures, and organizational boundaries. This changes what "identity" means in digital systems — it's no longer limited to human users and static machine instances, but must also cover autonomous, dynamic, goal-oriented agents. And identity alone isn't enough: the real question is not just what an entity is, but whether, and under what conditions, it should be trusted to act.
FG-TIDA addresses trust management and interoperable digital identity infrastructure for both humans and agentic AI, supporting the development of secure, trustworthy digital ecosystems in which humans and agents can safely interact and collaborate.
FG-TIDA operates under ITU-T Study Group 17.

Agendas and minutes from all FG-TIDA meetings — including the virtual Interregnum preparation meetings and the in-person Paris meeting — are published in the meetings repository.
FG-TIDA's initial deliverables and Working Group structure are being shaped through an open, community-driven brainstorming phase. Anyone can propose a theme — an idea for a topic FG-TIDA should explore — no leadership commitment or GitHub experience required.

Specifications are developed in the open, one repository per document. Each specification publishes its own web page and downloadable PDF automatically.
Repositories are named by working group: wg1-…, wg2-…, and so on. Filter by
the working-group topic to see all documents from a given group.
TIDA specifications are authored from a shared template that produces a modern web page and a print-ready PDF from the same source, with support for diagrams and auto-generated API references.
