Website rewrite

The home page is rebuilt around "Your Notes, Your Drive, Always Yours."

  • Hero: three framed phones, the tagline, the download button and promise chips.
  • What is Atomic Notes?: an answer-first definition and a facts list. Search engines and AI answer engines can quote it on its own.
  • Why it exists: the origin story and the lesson quote.
  • The problem: the training-data comparison as a real table. Two cited examples: Zoom 2023 (TechCrunch) and Adobe 2024 (Adobe).
  • Features: two screenshot showcases (notes, vault), six feature cards, and Atomi.
  • How it works: four steps, what each party can see (vault off and on), network resilience, and measured timings.
  • Energy: the interactive demo, the exact rules, and tier cards with the 2.5D icons.
  • Also: the screen gallery (the recovery-phrase screenshot is removed), the roadmap, live updates, a 7-question FAQ, and a download section with the certificate fingerprints and an apksigner command.

SEO/GEO

  • JSON-LD for SoftwareApplication, Person, WebSite and FAQPage (FAQ text matches the page).
  • A title template, description, keywords, Open Graph and X cards, canonical URLs and a new og-banner.png.
  • public/llms.txt.

Shared UI and fixes

  • SiteNav and SiteFooter are now used on the home, blog and updates pages. Nav links work from every page.
  • The Controller layout clears the inherited public metadata. The smoke test caught this: the admin page was picking up the site title template, description and share card.
  • Blog JSON-LD now escapes <.

Every number is checked against the App and Server code or the 2026-09-27 device test.

License

  • LICENSE: MIT is replaced by the Atomic Notes Source-Available License 1.0. The code is public to read and verify, and nothing more: no copying, modifying, redistributing, hosting, reuse or AI training.
  • package.json now says "license": "UNLICENSED".
  • The README and the blog pipeline's source of truth now say "source-available", never "open source".
  • Versions before 28 September 2026 keep their MIT grant (section 7 of the license).

Checks

  • npx tsc --noEmit: clean
  • npm run build: OK
  • npm run test:smoke: 22/22 pass
  • Checked in a browser at 1280 px and 375 px. No horizontal scroll, and the JSON-LD parses.

After merge

Redeploy on Vercel. Setting NEXT_PUBLIC_APK_URL to the V0.2 releases/latest URL (or deleting it) is still pending.

- Home page rebuilt around "Your Notes, Your Drive, Always Yours": phone-stack
hero, an answer-first "What is Atomic Notes?" block with a facts list, the
origin story, the training-data comparison with two cited examples, feature
showcases and cards, how one sync works, what each party can see (vault off
and on), measured performance, Atomic Energy demo and rules, capacity tiers,
screen gallery, roadmap, live updates, a 7-question FAQ, and download with
  certificate fingerprints.
- Structured data: SoftwareApplication, Person, WebSite and FAQPage JSON-LD.
- Metadata: title template, description, keywords, Open Graph and X cards,
canonical URLs, theme colour. New og-banner.png. public/llms.txt added.
- Shared SiteNav (links work from every page) and SiteFooter on the home, blog
and updates pages. The Controller layout clears the public metadata so the
admin page keeps its own title and no share card.
- Removed the recovery-phrase screenshot from the gallery, and the unused
Compare and AtomMark components. Blog JSON-LD now escapes "<".
- Copy says "source-available", not "open source" or "MIT".

The website code stays public to read, but it is proprietary from 28 September
2026: no copying, modifying, redistributing, hosting, reuse or AI training.
Earlier versions keep their MIT grant, as the license states. package.json
declares "UNLICENSED". The blog pipeline's source of truth now forbids calling
Atomic Notes open source.
