Default standalone CALL-E tasks now use MCP in hosts that support it. Previously, a missing CALL-E connector could send first-time users directly to API Key setup; the Skill now inspects native connection or custom-connector management, completes authorized MCP setup and OAuth, or provides the remaining user step. Missing connections, unloaded tools and unavailable Agent management access do not trigger API fallback.

Prepare standalone calle 1.0.3 with synchronized Skill/evaluation metadata, installation guidance and an independent-release Changeset. Preserve explicit interface choices, existing-call recovery and capability-based pre-write fallback. npm and plugin package versions remain unchanged.

Validation:

  • corepack pnpm check and the full package test suite passed with pnpm 10.18.3. The local npm shell wrapper was bypassed only through a temporary test PATH entry.
  • 274 offline Skill tests passed.
  • Both standalone ZIPs passed CRC, inventory and byte-for-byte source checks; calle contains 19 files and calle-cli remains byte-identical to its published compatibility artifact.
  • Package dry-runs passed.
  • Added synthetic routing variants cover native setup, user-managed setup and unknown host support. These Agent evaluations remain NOT_RUN; no fresh Muse activation, OAuth, live-call acceptance or security scan is claimed.

After successful CI, publish the accepted commit under immutable tag skills/calle@1.0.3 with complete ZIPs, a source/artifact manifest and SHA-256 checksums. Local verification is recorded in docs/verification/calle-1.0.3-mcp-first-2026-11-02.md.
