LibDispel CopyTable error on login. DebuffTypeColor global removed by Anniversary/Classic Era patch #115
Since the recent Classic Era client update, ProjectAzilroka throws repeated Lua errors on every login:
15x Blizzard_SharedXMLBase/TableUtil.lua:247: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil)
[Blizzard_SharedXMLBase/TableUtil.lua]:247: in function 'CopyTable'
[ProjectAzilroka/Libs/LibDispel/LibDispel.lua]:19: in main chunk
Locals:
settings=nil
shallow=nil
copy=
Cause: Blizzard removed/relocated the global DebuffTypeColor table in the recent patch. Bundled LibDispel calls CopyTable(DebuffTypeColor) on load (LibDispel.lua:19), and since that global is now nil, CopyTable fails immediately.
Other addons relying on the same global (ShadowedUnitFrames, ElkBuffBars) have hit the identical issue and worked around it with a nil-guard/fallback table.
Suggested fix: guard the CopyTable call in LibDispel.lua, e.g.:
lua
local DebuffColors = CopyTable(DebuffTypeColor or {
none = { r = 0.80, g = 0.00, b = 0.00 },
Magic = { r = 0.20, g = 0.60, b = 1.00 },
Curse = { r = 0.60, g = 0.00, b = 1.00 },
Disease = { r = 0.60, g = 0.40, b = 0.00 },
Poison = { r = 0.00, g = 0.60, b = 0.00 },
})
Happy to test a patch if useful. Confirmed the errors stop with a client-side shim that restores _G.DebuffTypeColor before ProjectAzilroka loads, so the fix above should resolve it cleanly at the source.
