Description
There are known inline layout defects that predate current changes and should be addressed as a focused cleanup item.
Scope
- Collect and codify known inline-layout failures (line box formation, baseline alignment, whitespace handling, etc.).
- Fix high-impact defects first with minimal regressions.
- Add regression coverage for each fixed bug.
Acceptance criteria
- Documented known inline bugs are reduced/resolved.
- No regressions in existing inline layout tests.
- New tests reflect previously failing real-world cases.
