About The Project

There is a lot to do in life when you are a student abroad. You are all by yourself and sometimes lose track of your spending and end up overspending, or you are not familiar with your surroundings and do not know how to save money. And that's exactly where expenditureAI comes in to help...

Here's how:

• The site shows multiple services/options that are available in your region so that better alternatives can be suggested.
• You do not have to search for the alternatives, Just choose the category of your expense and get suggested specific alternatives with the help of our custom algorithm.
• Want to know the margin of your savings? There is a graph showing how much you have saved.
• If you are unfamiliar with a currency, we have a currency converter to solve that issue!

Do not think much about it, just click and start testing it out! There are no accounts, logins, or passwords.

Getting started

This is a guide if you want to use the site locally on your device, not recommended, though but if you do not have a constant network connection, you might need this

Installation

The site will work offline, however, some things may break but the core functions will still work.

1. Clone the repo (or download the zip)

   git clone https://github.com/AhnafPro/ExpenditureAI.git

2. Go to the folder and open this file (or extract the zip and then open the folder)

   index.html

3. View and use the site in your browser.

Usage

Follow the instructions below to use the site correctly and get your output.

1. Choose your display currency under the MONTH FORECAST box
2. Under the ACTIVE EXPENSES, click "+" to choose and add your expenses by choosing the category and service.
3. Enter your cost, and if you are not familiar with the "$" currency, use the QUICK USD CONVERTER under MONTH FORECAST. (Not recommended to change the cost of any service that is pre-set)
4. Click Analyze Now under the SMART CUTS box.
5. View your smart cuts and then the cost reduction chart under OPTIMIZATION IMPACT
