Note for the record: this metadata line was the SMALL half of the problem. Commit metadata on this public repo carries adam.j.wright@gmail-style personal addresses on 156 commits and adam.wright@wormbase.org on 57, plus three contributors personal addresses. That cannot be changed without rewriting all history, which would break every clone and fork.
