Possibility to add function to create individual schemas based on the yaml?

When developing new or adjusting existing endpoints we always need to create individual schemas in order to validate the message samples. Is there possibility to automize this with script/tool that we can also add to out toolbox here on GitHub?

I have sent the following question to Altova Support:

I have an OpenAPI 3.1 yaml schema in XMLSpy.
How to validate json examples against schemas defined in components/schemas in the OpenAPI 3.1 yaml schema file?

If this is not possible in the latest release of XMLSpy, it would be a very important feature to have.

Please outline the best work procedure for doing above validation in XMLSpy.
When the OpenAPI 3.1 yaml file is changed, then the json examples need to be re-validated. 
So an automated procedure is needed.

Is it possible to export the schemas from the OpenAPI 3.1 yaml file to separate yaml files?

Dear Lars,

Thanks for contacting us. At present, no, XMLSpy does not offer validation of JSON request payloads against OpenAPI documents. XMLSpy only validates the OpenAPI document itself.

While XMLSpy supports the extraction of XML schemas from WSDL documents, it doesn't presently support similar functionality against OpenAPI documents.

I'll forward both of these on to our development team for future consideration.

If possible, please send an example OpenAPI 3.1 YAML schema to better inform any future effort in this direction.

I have had a dialogue with Altova regarding improvement of XMLSpy. Altova has asked about our requirements regarding OpenAPI.
I have asked for a possiblity to generate json examples directly from the OpenAPI yaml file as well a possibility to validate json examples directly against the OpenAPI yaml file. It seems as this will be supported in coming releases of XMLSpy. An other feature would be the possibility to work with individual schemas in XMLSpy without exporting these schemas from OpenAPI yaml schema. This would speedup the validation of these schemas. I pointed out that it takes a long time, about 2 minutes, to validate the OpenAPI yaml file.

I have created a macro in XMLSpy for exporting of an individual schema from the QpenAPI yaml schema. The macro also changes all $Ref: in the schema , so it works OK in XMLSpy.

Hi Lars, thanks for providing the individual schemas. Can you please share the macro you have created as interim solution before, hopefully, Altova develops feature in XML Spy?
