Cannot turn off clang-tidy

clang-tidy seems to be enabled by default. I tried turning it off by putting the following in my .vimrc:

let g:syntastic_c_checkers=[]
let g:syntastic_cpp_checkers=[]

Even after restarting vim, the clang-tidy checker seems to be active.

You should put this to your .vimrc:

let g:validator_cpp_checkers = []
