I'm trying to modify the en_us translation to better fit my resource pack. But there's no way to remove the color from some of the text.

What is the spec for defining colors in a lang file?

CommandKeys uses colors to make it easier to quickly identify which settings are in use, and to highlight pertinent information in messages.

If you can demonstrate or point to a spec showing that colors can be used in a vanilla translation file, I'll look at using that instead of hardcoding the colors. I will not, however, remove the colors entirely.

Closing as wontfix as I can't find anything that indicates colors can be specified in a vanilla translation file. If you can demonstrate that it's possible, please comment and I'll reopen.

Noted, I'm familiar with text color codes but vanilla does not use them in translations so I wasn't aware that was supported. I note that the set of color codes will limit the range of colors that can be used, so it may not be a 1:1 replacement. However, I will look into adding this as a v4 feature since translations will need to be redone anyway.
