Adding strings to project or job

I'd like to use the API to add strings to my project and then add those strings to a job. I see that is possible in the REST APIs, but not seeing the capability in the node package.

Can that be added to the node package?

P.S. Working directly with strings is uncommon; instead, use files. I would recommend speaking with your Smartling SA/CSM. They can advise on the appropriate architecture for custom integrations.
