Linux Support

Is it possible to use Mono to support Linux?

I will use the newer cross-platform .NET to target Linux.

Which version of .NET I can use is dictated somewhat by what Windows versions people still want to support.

I also want to keep the application as lightweight as possible but it might get significantly bigger if I want to be cross-platform.
